Kürzlich wurden die 34. Golden Joystick Awards an die entsprechenden Preisträger verliehen. In der Kategorie Xbox Game of the Year konnte sich RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER einen Preis sichern. Der Spielecharakter Lara Croft wurde außerdem mit dem Hall of Fame-Award ausgezeichnet bzw. in diese aufgenommen.

Ultimate Game of the Year wurde übrigens Dark Souls 3. Tomb Raider-"Konkurrent" Uncharted 4: A Thief's End wurde in der Kategorie PlayStation Game of the Year mit einem Award geehrt.
